The Impact Award implemented in 2019 is designed to recognize an individual in our district that has a positive impact on our students but who is not an educator. This opportunity is open to paraprofessionals, custodians, food service providers, etc.
2022 Impact Awards: Leona Engle, Special Education, Senior High & Marcy Swisher, Paraprofessional, Frankstown Elementary
Leona Engle has been with the district for 23 years. She is a hard working and dedicated advocate for students. Mrs. Engle works with teachers and staff to ensure the sucess of her students. Leona does not shy away from a challenge and comes up with solutions to problems. She is an asset to our teaching staff.

In her 3 years working at Foot of Ten, Marcy Swisher has continuously gone above and beyond for not only her students, but also the staff. Marcy’s positive attitude creates a welcoming space and she is always ready to help where she can. She truly knows her students and cares deeply for them. Marcy reliably works to motivate and support her students, while continually striving to be the best she can be!
