Turing Tumble Grant for Junior High

Turing Tumble is a revolutionary new game where players build mechanical computers powered by marbles to solve logic puzzles.  While playing, students will discover how computers work and how to code without words!

Other HASD Foundation Grants 2024-25

Project NASAProject NASA JH Team Participation in the 2024 Research Challenge and field trip to Goddard Space Center.
HASH Greenhouse Specimen Plants : Larger pots for transplanting the thriving plants used in the Greenhouse Curriculum.
Temporary Greenhouse : Wood Technology along with the Science Department will construct year-round accessible greenhouse structures to house the Tiger Victory Garden. )This was piloted with a 2023-24  Grant).
Eddie-Edible Ink Printer : Culinary Specialty students will create edible treats with the new Edible Printer and Laptop.
Mental Health Rooms : The Elementary Buildings will receive supplies/furniture to create a comfortable space for students to meet with professionals to address their mental health needs.
Elementary Library Reading Nook : The CWL Library will create a reading nook for students to use along with a new location for the circulation desk to improve space and the visual line.
Art Installation : FOT will receive 12 Frames for the lobby to install to create a rotating gallery for student artwork to be on display.
Artist Residence: FOT will receive a mural as part of the Lobby Beautification. Deb Bunnell will work with students to design and install the mural.
Workshop Safety/Sawstop Technology : JH Fundamentals of Wood Tech will receive a contractor grade Table Saw. It offers more features as well as better safety for the students and staff.
Functional Furniture: The SH Art Room will receive new butcher block top tables for students that contain drawers for project storage.
Student Advisory Group/Book Study : SH Student Advisory Committee receives a book and supplies to use in their promotion of school spirit, unity and pride.
Shelfie : The Tech Education students will build the shelf accessory for the library. The student library assistants will paint and install these book backstops for an updated look in the JH Library.
Cyanotype : All 3 Elementary Art Depts will receive supplies for 2 years worth of Cyanotype Kits to create projects that use UV light
Tiger TV Suite Upgrade: JH Tiger TV will receive a new audio snake, adjustable mic stands, and wireless intercoms.
Pugmill: The JH will receive a Pugmill to repurpose clay leftovers into new usable bars of clay.

In the 2023-24 school year, over $45,064.62 was awarded to provide things like Advanced PE equipment, JH Tiger Den, FOT Library Reading Nook, K-12 Microscopes, World Language Festival, German Readers, Lobby Mural, SWPBIS Field Day, and several others.
