The HASD Foundation has been providing grant funds to support the students and administrators in our district for over 20 years.  To date over $600,000 has been awarded.  The grants funded enhance the learning opportunities for our students.  It also gives the teachers a chance to bring new and innovative ideas to their classrooms.  Last fall the Foundation awarded grants for STEM Labs to all three elementary buildings, totaling over $30,000.  The labs will allow hands on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  The labs will have the technology and tools necessary to facilitate lessons that go beyond standard textbook learning.  The mission of the Foundation is to put ideas for enhanced education into action by funding innovative programs, broadening teaching and learning opportunities and encouraging community involvement.  Below are ways you can get involved.

  • Can’t decide what to get your child’s teacher, principal, bus driver or paraprofessional?  Consider a gift to the Foundation in their honor.
• Educational Improvement Tax Credits (EITC) – the Foundation is an Educational Improvement Organization (EIO) which allows us to accept donations from your business.  Visit dced.pa.gov for more information.
• Business Partner – your business has an opportunity to “sponsor” a grant.  You will receive updates of the grant/project from start to finish.
